On every regularly available "Best Of"-collection of any band in the world there are always songs that I personally would never ever
a) release as a single (e.g. "Zombie" of The Cranberries) or
b) put on a "Best Of" release - single or not.
Here is my personal "Best Of The Housemartins" because in my opinion "Now That's What I Call Quite Good!" was far behind their possibilities.

How in god's name could you omit 'Think For A Minute'? There's two versions to choose from!
ReplyDeleteThe problem with the Housemartins is that it is almost impossible to compile a "Best Of" because there are only very few songs that do not neccessarily HAVE to be on it. Well, and "Think For A Minute" is one of them (in my opinion). Sorry! :-) But I'm sure you have both versions... Right?
ReplyDeleteThe single of 'Think' is their high point imo. I used to be very good friends with the band.
