THE CLASH Rat Patrol From Fort Bragg (1981)
This is a re-post. Not only an updated link... as THE CLASH are more than just a band to me.
In 1981 THE CLASH recorded what should have been released as "Rat Patrol From Fort Bragg" but was released in 1982 as "Combat Rock".
The original version of "Rat Patrol From Fort Bragg" was produced by Mick Jones and is nowadays known as "the original Combat Rock".
RPFFB consists of two cds whereas cd 1 is the regular album and cd 2 is some kind of remix album. Some of the remixes were later released on "Super Black Market Clash".
The album on discogs.

THE CLASH You Lot! What? The Best Of The Clash!
Yeah I know...
But this one belongs to my Dub compilation!
There are too many CLASH Best Of releases. All with the same songs.
You will find most of them on this compilation but you will also find some surprises that would never ever find their ways onto any official Best Of because CBS means Countless Bloody Suckers (for success).
This here is a compilation of the major mega hits plus some nice and forgotten stuff from the regular records.
I just deleted my personal Best Of last year to compile a completely new one. THIS ONE:

THE CLASH Dub Clash
This month seems to be my "Best Of"-month by accident.
It was not supposed to be this way but... I really don't have any masterplan.
Today it's THE CLASH DUBS which gives me an enormous flash back of a barbecue at the beach with gallons of beer and wine.
Enjoy as much as I do especially on the other side of the world where summer is close at hand. (Closer than in the northern hemisphere where it's about to come to an end...)

WHAT DO WE HAVE FOR ENTERTAINMENT? THE CLASH!
OK listeners, downloaders, friends.
Statistics cannot lie...
Looking at my statistics one thing is more than obvious:

LONDON CALLING 25th Anniversary Legacy Edition - Pt.1

LONDON CALLING, one of the most successfull records ever, was released in 1979 and was declared one of the most important records of the 80s. Funny enough...
25 years later there was an anniversary edition (25th Anniversary Legacy Edition) including, apart of the regular cd, one bonus cd with studio outtakes and unreleased rehearsal material (unreleased for quite some reasons) plus a brilliant documentary of the Making Of LONDON CALLING, promo videos and some interviews. Fair enough.
Now, or last year, the 30th Anniversary Edition was released and the CBS fuckers did not even just do a re-issue of the 25th Anniversary Legacy Edition. They cut it to just the two cds.
What kind of bullshit is this?
Don't try to fuck fuckers!
For those who denied to buy any of the anniversary editions, I will post - one after another - the promo videos, the documentary and some studio anarchy videos.
